Se presentan los avances en el área de capacitación en investigación en salud pública y sistemas de salud, dentro del programa realizado por la Red Nacional de Investigación en Salud Pública y Sistemas de Salud (RENISS) y se plantea la necesidad de fortalecer el programa en el futuro con el fin de lograr un impacto medible a nivel regional. The National Program for promoting and teaching research in Public Health and Services is presented with goals accomplished. This program is within the National Network supported by COLCIENCIAS and some Colombian universities. There is a strong need for strenghtening this program looking for obtainig good results at regional level.
